We collect as little as possible: an email address (and a phone number, if a form asks for one) when you join the waitlist, enter the study or make a referral. Our analytics are cookieless, we don’t run advertising trackers, and we never sell your data.
2. Who we are
Tenure is a pre-launch student housing platform based in Norwich, United Kingdom, and is the data controller for this site. Contact: contact@tenure.info.
3. What we collect and why
Waitlist and forms — your email address (and phone number where you choose to give it) so we can confirm your place, send launch updates and administer referrals and rewards. Site analytics — anonymous, aggregated statistics about visits (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) that are cookieless and can’t identify you. Emails you send us — kept so we can reply and keep context.
4. Legal bases
We rely on your consent when you submit a form (you can withdraw it at any time), and on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used and running the waitlist fairly.
5. Who we share it with
A small number of processors help us run the site: our hosting and analytics platform (Framer) and our email platform (Loops), which stores waitlist contact details on our behalf. They act under contract and can’t use your data for their own purposes. We don’t sell or rent personal data to anyone.
6. How long we keep it
Waitlist details are kept until Tenure launches and the related communications wind down, or until you unsubscribe — whichever comes first. You can ask us to delete your details at any point.
7. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing, or withdraw consent by emailing contact@tenure.info. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled something, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
8. Cookies
This site uses only strictly-necessary cookies set by our hosting platform to serve the site securely and remember essential preferences — for example, that you’ve dismissed our cookie notice (stored in your browser, not on our servers). Our analytics don’t use cookies at all, and there are no advertising or cross-site trackers. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site.
9. Changes
If our data practices change — for example when the app launches — we’ll update this page and, where the change is significant, tell waitlist members by email.
